New projects on RIAT
Since January 2025, the number of projects configured in RIAT has continued to grow, reflecting its broader application across both EU-funded and national initiatives.
Among the EU-funded and multi-country projects, OFII (France) has configured a referral project, with 14 registered cases, which focuses on strengthening referral pathways for returnees in Côte d'Ivoire, Georgia, and Senegal, complementing existing reintegration efforts in those countries.
Finland has also launched the SRI 2 project (which already counts 12 cases), aimed at supporting the return and reintegration of Iraqi nationals through services in Baghdad and Erbil, including post-arrival business training and peer-to-peer psychosocial support. These two projects are open to participation by other Member States. Those interested in joining or exploring similar configurations are encouraged to contact the team at helpesk@riatsupport.eu.
Additionally, Austria and Denmark have configured national projects, as well as France (OFII) with an initiative that provides basic reintegration support in Burundi and Rwanda. While access to these projects is limited to national authorities and partners, it demonstrates how RIAT can also support Member State-specific reintegration efforts within national frameworks.
